GBC VOLUNTEERING CLEAN UP PARTIES 2024
The club has come a long way since it was formed in 1934. We now have facilities that are the envy of lots of other boat clubs all over the country. We can all find somewhere where there is a better boat lift, a better club house or better grounds but you have to travel far and wide to find these. We have a responsibility to maintain and even improve our facilities. The season brings with it the trials that occur in most areas of our lives, the need to be careful with our limited resources.
The club is aiming to make the grounds look attractive, a place where members want to visit and be proud of. We need to continue with excellent work that has been done to maintain the hedges around the perimeter of the club grounds as well as improvements to the car park areas.
Throughout the coming year we will be arranging volunteering clean up parties
Finally if any member has any ideas (no matter how big or small) for grounds or clubhouse improvement that they wish to submit to the committee for consideration please let me know. Also should you wish to do a specific job and not attend work parties this can be arranged.
Volunteering clean up parties will be announced on the notice board and the web site and facebook

PLEASE ensure that your jetty is maintained in a safe condition.
PLEASE ensure that your vessel is kept in a clean and safe condition, correctly moored with no possibility of danger or nuisance to your neighbours and other river users.
THE COMMITTEE should be contacted with regard to a mooring for visitors and club members with addittional boats
Should any member exchange their boat, particularly whilst away from the Club, please let the committee know the full details of the replacement before returning to the Club. Note, a berth may not automatically be available.
